Push gas pedal and it does nothing. if I play with the handle on the side it will go sometimes. I think that somethin is not catching. That is the first issue. The second issue is I am trying to get the plastic off so I can see the shifter. I got all the sides off, but i cant the red plastic piece past the handle bars. Can and how do i take the handle bars off. thx

Hi, the handle bars are connected under the headlight assembly. these things are a nightmare to take apart, but very cool when running. usually i rewire with a forward reverse switch mounted on the gas cap. the swich harness on this model is notorious for failing, usually the thermal breaker...so i always bypass it.here is a link to expolded view of the parts so you can get an idea how to disassemble and put back together.
