Hello, Usually the clicking sound is caused by insufficient voltage to cause the starting solenoid to engage and turn the engine over. Check the battery first as this is most often the cause. If the battery checks out to be good, then check the wiring from the battery through the switch to the solenoid. With the battery disconnected, remove the wires from the terminals one at a time and clean each connection to shiny and bright. Re-assemble each one before going to the next. Once the wires and connections are proven, turn your thoughts next to the solenoid, and replace it if necessary. You can jump past the solenoid with a jumper wire between the large lugs (the switch will have to be "ON"). Best regards, --W/D--
