Would help if you told us the printer model and what’s wrong with the printout. Make sure you put the ink cartridges in the correct places. Blue in the blue, red in the red, yellow in the yellow. Verify the cartridges you took out are the same p/n as the put in.
Well, if it is a model with a removeable printhead, take it out and to the sink. do a quick rinse of the printhead both top and bottom (start with the bottom first and just a quick rinse of the top). Take a paper towel and tap the printhead on it bottom down into your palm. If you get distinct lines from the printhead (if it has 4 cartridges you get 4 distinct lines) you've unplugged it. dry it off and reinstall it and put in your inks. . Make sure you have taken the tab off your ink cartridges that blocks the ink hole so the ink can flow properly. And if putting in new inks, first make sure to hold it with the tank towards you and shake it downward so it charges the felt part inside the cartridge with ink to help it start your printhead. Give it a try. if it doesn't work then try it again but rinse the printhead thoroughly. even force some water thru the nozzles if you can. after you get all the ink out, a bit of compressed air will clear the water from the channels in the printhead. you have to do this as a bit of water in the ink channels will do the equivalent of a vapor lock on it. it will need to be dry inside and out to restart your printhead.
