Put the cd in the headunit and it trys to read it but wont but whats real weird is i tryed it one morning and the cd played and i tryed another cd and it wored but now it wont read any cds anymore
The lens could be a bit dirty. try a cd lens cleaner disk.
The worst that it could be is a laser lens miss aligned. Its almost not worth trying to fix, unless you can find a replacement laser assembly. the lenses are so tiny, if you try to re align it you most likely will make it worse.
Something else you could try is resetting the radio. Usually behind the face, or some where on the face of the unit is a recessed button that you need to press with the end of a straightened paper clip. most aftermarket head units have this button.
Some times the unit needs a hard reboot. If cleaning the lens, and resetting the head unit doesn't work, you may want to contact clarion for repair, or get a new unit.
Hi, The file format can't be read by the player. Is it MP3 ready? try burning something of the original format (.wav). Some older head units can be picky about the color of the dye used in CD-Rs. Try buying ones that use a silver/gold dye (like a normal cd) if you have trouble reading blue or green dyes. Also burn at the slowest speed setting that your burner can use. ive noticed my car's cd player and the one at my set-up at home can't read anything burned at the highest speed settings and anything above the lowest two and between the top speeds are error prone (skips, some tracks end midway, etc). Use 24x speed or slower. It’s help u. Good luck! And Thanks.
