Rainbow E series Model E2 will not start up!
Once in a while it will make a real faint noise the separator spins very easy. I now have the vacuum taken apart with the motor visible trying to see if it is something in there! i just received this vacuum would love to get it up and running! Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Unfortunately that large beige box that was resting on top of the motor is the computer that controls the 2 speed function of the vac.
The first thing to check is motor it's self, there are 2 brush 'boxy things' at right angles to the armature (the part of the motor that spins). Check those and make sure that the brushes are evenly worn and in contact with the motor. Next see of there are burn marks on the motor itself - it should be copper in color.
If this looks fine, sorry to say, the computer might be the issue ... not cheap.
