It is likely that you have scored the cylinder and therefore its probably junk. A compression test will tell for sure. 120-140 is ideal. Less than 110 it may run till it gets warm then die. Remove the muffler and look at the cylinder and piston. If you see scoring ( lines running up and down) then it is not cost effective to repair regardless of the compression reading.
