Rapid engine speed increase to 6K rpm when started
Engine rpm wants to continuously increase when the car is started. Shut it off before it blew the engine. Replaced the timing belt and made sure it was on the marks with #1 cylinder TDC. Also changed the TPS, EPS, cam position sensor, and cleaned the throttle body as they were the only codes displayed.

When an engine revs out of control, it can only happen if too much air is being allowed to enter the intake (petrol engine) - not much air is needed for an engine to rev wildly when off-load.
This can be caused by a sticky throttle cable or linkage holding the butterfly open a little way or the idle air control being stuck wide open.
On later engines with a fly-by-wire throttle, it can be caused by throttle pedal/potentiometer problems.
