Terminals approved for use in Europe with Ray240E:
What is required to interface a Fixed Wireless Terminal to the Ray 240/240E?
In order to connect your Ray 240/240E to the fixed wireless terminal, your radio must be fitted with the DTMF interface. This interface was available as a factory installed option on all Ray 240/240E systems. The easiest way to determine if your radio is DTMF equipped is to inspect the Ray 240/240E's transciever box. Units fitted with this interface will have a pigtail with a single RJ-11 (female)telephone jack fitted to the transceiver box. If your radio does not have this interface, you can have it installed by returning the transceiver box to the nearest Raymarine Factory Service Center. When interfacing to any FWT other than the RayCom FWT, it is required that the radio be updated to software version 1.20 or higher. This software enables the Ray 240/240E to properly hear the ring tone generated by the FWT.
How do I determine the software version currently installed in my Ray 240?
The Ray 240/240E reports its software version on the LCD display of the handset when the unit is energized from the power switch at the front of the transciever box. Simply switch the power off, then on at the transciever, then power on the handset to see the version number.

You cannot just reprogram your Raymarine to european standard.
This radio has been built and is licenced for using with USA frequency, in Europe his use will be limited to lower bands with no modification.
To be fully adapted to higher bands, the radio must be taken apart, and you need to bridge a contact on the main board.
The use of the radio after modifacion won't be legal in Europe.
See here : International CB
