Razer Diamondback turning off and on
Hey i have a very annoying problem that annoys me a lot. My razer diamondback mouse turns off and after ~5seconds turns on again, sometimes i need to replug it to make it work again. I tried to reinstalling windows but it didn't help. P.S. The longer computer is being switched ON, the more often mouse turns off/on.

Can't say if your issue is exactly the same as the one i had but my razer diamondback kept cutting out just like how you said, i fixed it by taking it apart and replacing the cable with one from an old dell optical mouse i had knocking around. inside the mouse is a small plastic plug with 5 wires attatched i had to rearrange the wires going into the plug by removing the spades and swapping them around so they matched the original plug.
i found the best way to remove the spades is to get a fine pin or needle and lift the little bit of plastic holding them in, if you do this right they will slide out effortlessly, make sure when you rearange the wires that they're put in the same way as the cable you are replacing else it may not work properly.
put the mouse back together and plug in and it should be fine, it took me 10 mins to do this to my diamondback and its working like new again.
The cable on all of my razer mice seems to pinch, ironically, right at the rubber gasket designed to keep it from pinching, near the front of the mouse. My solution was to find a free USB device (in my case it was a keyboard) off of craigslist, the internal USB attachment was the same. I used a razor to split the small rubber gasket bit off of the old cable, this new one is thick so I don't think it will pinch it. I had to make a few small cuts in the rubber to get the top to snap into place, but it works fine now for the past few months. I can see myself getting another 4 years out of it.
Lol, i wrote it down on a pc of paper: "make sure when you rearange the wires that they're put in the same way as the cable you are replacing else it may not work properly."
now the paper is gone!!!, anyone of you want to take a photo of the cables??
This isn't a solution, i have the same problem only its nto a break in the cord.. logically it cant be.. i have a cord holder and on either side of it i can wiggle it to hell and the problem doesnt occur.. its really random from my perspective.. im thinkin its a software problem but i reinstallled the drivers and its still doin it.
I Have the same problem as well, it is the cord where it enters the mouse. (for me atleast)
I just took the top of it off and messed around with it a little... definitely the cord. Just asked tech support if they could sell me a new cord, we'll see how that goes
