Hi, when the fireplace cycles off / thermostat is up to temp the gas burner flame pops/bangs when shutting down. Other than this it runs great - flame is good - no soot build up - starts up perfectly. My outside BBQ does the same when shut off - the flame pops and bangs then goes out...Hi, when the fireplace cycles off / thermostat is up to temp the gas burner flame pops/bangs when shutting down. So there is really no problem, right? You realize that the gas jet tip gets hot while running and when you turn off the gas supply the pressure drops to push the gas past the tip of the jet. So...the gas left near the tip heats up and explodes when it reaches the ignition temp...PoP!So there is really no problem, right?
