Receiver doesn't start
My receiver doesn't leave the "Power up" mode and seems to have been hung up. Is there a way of rebooting the receiver? Have tried several times to disconnect and re-connect the power cable but when Iplug it back it's still in "power up".

To rectify this problem you will have to replace few capacitors in the power supply circuit. Caps to replace are C16, C17, C21, C26, C27, C32, C47. Be very careful with two screws located under the heat sink. DO NOT MIX THEM WITH THE REST OF THE SCREWS.
What is the experience with this solution? I am about to perform the same opperation on my dvr50. I unplugged the DVD-rom a couple of years ago, and has been using it as a receiver, but now I must opperate.
When you open the DVR50, there are no dust at all!!! Therefore i suspect that there are inadequate ventilation in the cabinet, and the components therefore heat up and then go bad... I will try and improve the ventilation. What are the experience on fixing the receiver, any good???
