Receiver works, but turns off after 5 or 6 minutes. I can turn it back on, but it turns off again 5 or 6 minutes later. What could be causing this? I recently had a new installation of a satellite system (DirecTV). Is it possible the technician caused this problem by hooking something up incorrectly? If so, what?

Check all the speaker cables and connections. It might be a safety cutt out caused by an overload. It's possible the engineer moved something and caused speaker cables to come loose or start touching.
