RECYCLER FOLDER Virus or Malware in all drives
Hi this is Nandu from India. I had been using Genuine Microsoft Windows XP Professional. Using AVG 8.0 Licensed Copy and for Anti Malware I am using Malwarebytes.
My system is infected with some spyware or Trojan. No antivirus, anti-spyware and Adware scanners not detecting that one.
What the problem exactly is when I open other drives except C-Drive I found a folder with name RECYCLER when I tried to delete it normally it wont delete. If I use Shift+Delete it will be deleted. After some time it is reappearing.
For this I reinstalled my system with by formatting the C-Drive and Deleted 'System Volume Information' in all drives before installing XP. Checked for script like autorun.inf in all drives nothing found. Later I installed the XP. After installing the OS I opened My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View TAB -> In Advance Settings -> I unchecked for tick mark for 'Hide Protected Operating System files' -> And Selected Show all Hidden Files -> Apply. Later I opened other drives in my pc the folder with name Recycler again reappeared.
What the exact problem I am not getting it.
Please do the needful..
Thanks & Regards M. Nanda Kishore.

In the folder RECYCLER there is a autorun.exe file it can not be deleted when u r in windows . The easy way is u boot u r system using a linux live cd (ubuntu or linux mint) & delete the folder RECYCLER & a file autorun.inf (IMPORTANT DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDER NAMED '$RECYCLEBIN$')
If you remember when you got this virus or whatever it is. Try to restore to an earlier date, by going to Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore. Choose roll back to eariler date and pick a date.
Try reading this, you will know what RECYCLER folder is, its purpose, and the solution to delete it if you like
