Make sure you have enough amperage going to the radio. take 12v/wattage= amps.. 12volts/4watts=3amps.. if your using cigarette socket for power make sure it has enough amps. some newer vehicles do not have it on those sockets.. some have extra auxillary sockets that are 5-10amps.. try running a long wire for 12vots straight to battery. both + and - and see if it flickers... if not prob is in your wiring.. if it still does.. then its the radio. take it to a good cb shop they should test it for FREE to tell you the prob...
