I can only comment genericaly for this:

Most likely the internal drive shaft is defective. In some models there is a gear box. This may not be coupling correcty due to a failure. In any of these cases it will most likely need replacement parts to be reliable again. Your shaver should never fall apart!

You can call the company and enquire about where to send the shaver for service. Some of these companies have a flat rate fee for service. Look for your reciept to see if it is possibly under warranty. If the estimate for repair is too high, then you should consider a new shaver.

I would suggest for you to try getting a higher end type model. From personal experience and the research that I have done in the past, I found the Philips and the Panasonic to probably be the best shavers around at this time. You may pay a little more, but they are worth the few exra dollars for the performance and reliablity.
