You just about had it right, you should have clicked on the uninstall button istead. Also go into the start menu and find the program that way, when you click on the program you should see few menu choices under the window, one of these should be pemove/uninstall this program
After I clicked on change/remove, the InstallShield Wizard comes up and asked "do you want to completly remove the selected application and all its components. I clicked Yes. It then goes from 0% to 100% but the program is still there and I can access it. I also done a restart. It's still not removed. Any other ideas for me to try?
