Removal of plastic face panel
Does the plastic face panel that has the Start, Fabric care and Cycle Option knobs on it simple pop off? Perhaps with a screwdriver? I have to remove it and do not want to break it by forcing it off.

Usually not. Take the knobs off, they pull off and look for screws under them. Check the back of the panel to make sure there are no screws holding it on also
