Removing battery I recently bought a '79 suzuki gs550 and I do not know what to remove to get the battery out so I can charge it. I just want to see if it will hold a charge or do I buy a new one. I see that it sits under the main frame, so how I remove the side plastic plate that says gs550 on it? This is how I think it comes out. LOL ---- CAN SOMEONE HELP ME? ( male friend says , "Oh, you can do it, right?" and of course I say "oh I'm sure I can do it" --- LOL --- Thanx Julie

Julie the side covers are just pushed into rubber grommets be careful when prying out on the side covers on a bike this old they will be dry rotted. and then when you see the battery I personally would replace it so I didn't get down to the local tavern and have it strand me
batteries are not really designed to last as long as they do i have another suggestion for you as well buy a battery maintainer and put it on the bike it will make the battery last 2 times longer something like this http://batterytender.com/default.php?cPa...
