Renault 5 GTL
I dont realy know how to explain this but, my car over heats so bad that the tappets go like tik tik tik tik,
The oil is fine and the water is fine, the water is actualy cold and the engen over heats,now i dont know if its a thermostat and if so how do you go about to replace it?

Remove the thermostat, put it all back together, add coolant that you have lost, bleed out the air & see if the problem goes away. If the thermostat is seized closed, the radiator will be cold when the engine is overheating.
Thermostat is in the top hose itself
