Renault Modus 2007. Won't start. I can hear the click of the bendix engaging. No engine turn. The battery is charged. The clock went back to zero. There was a message to say that the lights were automatically turned on (it was day time). There is a continuous beep coming from the engine compartment. Please help

Ok that can be the noise of your alarm horn it seems like you alarm seems to be activated . It seems like you have a problem with the comfort control module system . You may have a issue where the power wires going to the control module can be broken or a faulty control module wich both are very common . You will need to check all the fuses to make sure they are not blown and then raise the drivers side front carpet in front of the drivers seat to see if you find any broken wires at the control module or even the control module wet. There are two cables that run from your battery. One is the positive cable, which runs to the starter. The other is the negative cable, which is the ground. That wire runs to the frame of the car , and from the frame, another wire connects it to the engine block (the engine sits on rubber mounts, so it has to be grounded to the frame by wire). check out that wire.most probably that wire is got loose or faulty so the engine does not turn even with a charged battery.you can also gets the codes checked at diagnosis center to locate the exact faulty part.at www.autozone.com its free to get the codes checked to locate the faulty parts. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
