Replaced a A.O. Smith ST1102 with the same brand new motor. It starts out running normal and after a minute it will start to continuously stutter. Is there something wrong with the new motor or is it something else causing that?

It sounds like a motor issue. I am not aware of anything in the pump that would cause that condition.
