Replacement parts not matching # in Hayward Power-Flo manual
Does strainer cover SPX1500-D-2a replace SPX1500-D-2 as listed in manual? Cannot find one without the "a"

I would think so. It is probally a newer model with heaver ribs or stronger plastic. They find weakness in these and fix the newer ones. So I would guess so.
