Replacing Smart Mix knob
I am obtaining a replacement Smart Mix knob (broken knob). When re-installing, you say that the Smart Mix valve should be in the down position and knob in Water Only position. But which direction does the horizontal "protrusion" on the top of the valve stem face?

The knob itself will only go in one way, What I was talking about is when you put the top cover back on, the knob should be in the water only position. This way the piston (on the bottom of the knob) will go into the slot correctly.
Yes, just make sure the knob is in the water only position when you push the top down.
