The black engine cover just pops into place. Gently use both hands and place them under the front edge of the cover. Lift up and reach to the right rear corner of the cover and pop it up off the grommet stem. Do the same to the left rear. The plugs are on the REAR of the engine-the injectors on the front. Use the torx driver to remove the plug caps screw and gently twist a little and pull upwards. The plugs is a ways down. Make sue you use a good spark plug socket (the one with the rubber insert) that will grip the plug and not drop it. At a minimum use platinum tipped plugs. I touched the new ones up with some anti-seize lube on the threads and put a dab of die-electic grease in the plug wire tubes.
