We contacted BenQ's technical service people from the toll free number on their website. They had us do the same thing the manual said to do and of course the lamp hours would not reset. We had to send the projector to them and they responded that our mother board went and that it needs to be replaced. They've quoted us around $180. What happened to us was that we didn't change the bulb when the warnings came up on the screen. It isn't explained anywhere that if you wait til you get to 3000 hrs without changing the bulb that you could screw up your machine, but it's kind of looking that way. If I were you guys, I would make that call to their tech support and see what they tell you.
