Replacing the part that connects the motor to the blades on an Oster blender
First I can not find a model number for this 450 Watt Oster blender. On the bottom it has a number called listed. It is 564A It also has a service number which is 6800.
The small hard plastic part that connects the motor directly to the rectangular pin upon which the blade spline engages was sheared off. The small rectangular pin thread out of the hard plastic. This hard plastic piece appears to be a "shear pin" to protect the motor from damage. I can not get the remnant off of the motor shaft. It appears it might be threaded on, but I can not get it loose.
Any suggestions?
This may not be important if I can not find the replacement part. Is this part available?
Thanks for your help

I don't know if this will help or if this is what you are looking for. But today I was searching the web for the bottom piece that fits on the jar and saw this website has a lot of replacement parts for Oster blenders. Hope this is what you're looking for.
Good Luck

I had the exact same problem with the exact same blender. I found this part:

There are definitely spare parts out there. Search google for 'Osterizer Parts' and you will find.
I just took mine apart to replace the rubber coupler, and wrote some rough instructions here. Hope it helps.
