Replacing WINDOW REGULATOR, on 92 gmc suburban, can I pull the regulator and motor out through one of the holes or do I need to remove the door enter metal panel ?

Proper proceedure in service manual is to pull whole panel. But, I have been able to remve top half of bolts on panel, put a piece of wood (like a small 2X4) between door and panel and remove regulator. hope that helps.
