Handset was purchase used and I want to reset the phone so that I can connect it to the new base that I own. Phone continues to read, "connecting" to which I presume it is still trying to connect to the old base unit from the previous owner. I want it to connect to a new base unit. Do you know of a what to reset the phone handset so that it will ready 'not registered'. An additional complication is that the new-used handset I bought is a different but very similar model number. (if that makes a difference). used handset is cl82209 and my existing phones are cl81219.
