Try pressing stop or cancel button for 10 full seconds. If this does not work, unplug the machine for 10 minutes. While unpluged, press and hold cancel or stop but for 10 seconds, then plug machine back in. If it still does not work, test the door switch with an ohmmeter to make sure the door switch is not faulty.
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. This issue can be either due to a faulty door latch or door lock switch which is not engaging itself. If the door latch will not engage the dishwasher will sense it as open door and will not start the cycle. The light also blinks when the dishwasher detects a no-fill condition. Also check the fill valve. I'll also suggest you to check the detergent dispenser solenoid for this issue. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
Hi Rylee, thanks for your response, all the lights are constantly lit, ie. none are 'flashing', the washer has worked perfectly upto the incident of the child opening and closing the door during a normal wash cycle, I've tried the 'cancel program' procedure as per the handbook all to no avail, all the lights remain lit....???
just a comment on your last suggestion re: button pressing sequence, I cannot do this because when the door is shut the buttons are inaccessable (built in unit model).... any further suggestions would be appreciated....... thanks Jack.

Hi Jack thanks for your reply. You can try to reset it by unplugging the unit from the power socket and mains and let it be seated without power for more than ten minutes. Now re-place the plug into the power socket and mains and switch it on.If still the issue is not resolved then remove the control panel and blow air on it. If this works then it might have been caused due to moisture in the board. If it won’t work then the control panel should be replaced. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
