Restarts while texting
Pantech Matrix c740 randomly restarts (power on screen, SIM checking) while typing text message. So far I can tell it only happens when using the QWERTY keyboard, and editing (going back to earlier text to fix something) almost guarantees a reboot. Phone is less than 1 month old. AT&T said to return to store for new unit, but based on others' comments, I'm wondering if it's a known issue.

It's a very common issue for the matrix. there is no know fix for this as far as i know. i have the same problem. it's very irritating.
Yes it's common, very, very annoying but common. Only solution is to save those longer texts to drafts periodically so you don't loose the text.
