reverse buttons do not work. Hear slight buzzing when either is depressed, but no action. It looks like both buttons move when either is depressed. I can manually drop a slide in and hit Select twice and view it, Select ahain to Eject it where I can remove it manually. So - part solved, but still have some. Carousel does not move automatically at all
Your projector most likely has a broken Link, which connects the cycle solenoid plunger to the cycle lever. The buzzing you hear is the cycle plunger in the cycle solenoid. This is a quite difficult repair for a trained tech. Parts are available at: www.micro-tools.com I suggest you contact an authortzed repair dealer to make the repairs.
I have a Kodak Carousel Custom 850 H projector with broken auto adjust gears. How do I tell if solenoid needs replacement too? I see no place for the so-called link.E. The auto-focus gears are pressed on the shafts during the manufacturing process. To the best of my knowledge, the gears alone are not available. You must buy the gear already pressed on the shaft. Both the Auto-focus shaft (with gear) and the solenoid link are available from: www.micro-tools.com Good Luck!! JimThe auto-focus gears are pressed on the shafts during the manufacturing process.
