Reverse is forward and vice versa
I recently replaced the brushes and springs and now forwards is backwards and vice versa. I've turned the housing 180 degrees and switched the wires on the brushes with no luck. I've heard the brushes could be upside down but it looks like that wouldn't make a difference

To get a dc motor to spin in reverse you have to change the polarity of the battery. This is normally done in the switch by which set of poles is connected . Have you connected the battery up correctly in the first instance.
