reverse mode
Hello I got Passat 2001 and suddenly in the afternoon the car is not moving and when I try to shift the car into Reverse gear or Drive mode there is sound and the car is not moving.I dont know what happened thanks in advance

Make sure the linkage is actually moving at the transmission why watching as someone else shifts. It could also be a dropped CV joint, so look at those as well. Check the ATF level from underneath, cold, by over filling at the large diameter plug.
DOES THE INDICATION OF THE GEARS FLASH OR STAY LIT UP?
