rinse cycle, the heating element and fan, which together blow hot air on the wet clothes during the drying cycle, no longer come on. The "tub" or "spinner" (the container which the clothes go in) still spins as it should during the drying cycle, and everything else seems to work fine during the drying cycle, but the fan and heating element no longer work. I have tried to dry clothes a few times since this happened and the fan and heating element never come on. I have also tried using the "dry only" function on different fabric settings to see if that makes a difference and it does not. So everything seems to work fine except the fan and heating element used in the drying cycle no longer come on. I removed the access panel on the back of the machine hoping that I might see some loose connection or a fuse, but I have not been able to find anything that shook loose during the extreme shaking that occurred washing the darn denim jacket. Any assistance you can give me on how I might easily fix this problem would be appreciated

Look for a plug that plugs the blower assembly in to see if this came loose during the shaking. It is most likely a wire connection that got shook loose otherwise one would work and not the other. Take a good look and follow the wires from the blower assembly or the heating element and see if you can find the plug-in connection that came loose.
Whichever sensor doesn't ohm out or shows to be open is the sensor that needs to be replace. check them both and figure out which one is open and replace it to get the machine to run again.Whichever sensor doesn't ohm out or shows to be open is the sensor that needs to be replace. check them both and figure out which one is open and replace it to get the machine to run again.
Have you checked the limit switches as per our earlier conversation. If so and the switches check out okay then the heating element has to be bad.Have you checked the limit switches as per our earlier conversation. If so and the switches check out okay then the heating element has to be bad.
The fan doesn't come on because the heating element isn't working. It has a temperature sensor that tells it when to turn on. My guess would be either a bad connection to the heating element, or maybe it shook bad enough to break it. You can test the element by checking for continuity, or resistance with a test meter. Just put one test lead on each wire connector. It should show continuity and /or resistance. If it does, the element isn't getting power and I would guess it is a bad or the power wire connection isn't on well. If it shows no resistance or continuity, the element is bad. Hope this helps...
Yes its located inside the metal duct and down into the drum.but there is no such reset button to make heating element working.also the heating element is not controlled by any fuse.it just works on electric current passing through the heating element. but yes you can definitely check the heating element with a continuity tester. there are two ends in the heating element.just connect the continuity tester to the heating elements ends.if the light in tester comes up that means element is working.but if the light is bit dim or not coming ON then its time to replace the heating element. as per the problem and tests which you manually performed/checked and mentioned on that it indicates that heating element needs replacement. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
