Check the motor for worn brushes and or noisy bearings while it is removed for service. Any auto mechanic should have experience replacing brushes and bearings. Much cheaper than ordering a new motor. New brushes and bearings should cost around $30. The shop time should not exceed one hour. Miele charges about $50 for brushes if you can not find a local supplier. The W1930 motor that I rebuilt used a 6202Z and a 6201Z bearing set.
You should check the filter on the inlet hose, if it is clear then I would suggest replacing the cold water inlet, nothing to do with the motor that I know of. I didn't know a cold water inlet would need replacing. I thought the hot water side, maybe since these machines heat water, we checked the pressure, filter, etc and kept messing with it until the drain pump went out due to being run dry.. Change the cold water inlet and save yourself from needing a new pump as well. You should check the filter on the inlet hose, if it is clear then I would suggest replacing the cold water inlet, nothing to do with the motor that I know of.
