D-17 indicates incorrect master roll. there's several possibilites for this. the mosty common are:
1. its an incorrect master roll 2. (common) if you look at the back of the drum there's a black coupling jack. check the silver pins. sometimes the pins come undone and push back from making contact. (sometimes not straightenable and must be replaced) 3. (less common) Same issue as above, pins are pushed back on black jack behind master making unit inside of riso. (sometimes not straightenable and must be replaced) 4. (rarely) antenna is loose either inside of drum or from antenna pcb in lower right corner, behind front cover of master making unit. 5. (even more rare) bad rf reader, antenna, cable (usually visably pinched) or antenna pcb
