Rockford capacitor question
I recently installed a rockford capacitor RFC1 and it says it needs charged. it comes with a a little chip which is suppose to be inserted under positive and negative. when i first hooked it up it the green light never came on. now it says it suppose to shut off when its charged. does that mean it came fully charged or what? everything works but just wanted to make shure it won't mess up. plus how often it all do you need to charge it and why is it necessary

I think the "chip" is actually a resistor for DISCHARGING the capacitor. If its hooked up right it should charge and the light should go out.
I dont think the "chip" is supposed to hooked to it when it is in use, but check the instructions..
Make sure the wires are right, and try it without the extra device attached to it.
