Rode bike yesterday left over night wont start today this happens alot
I own a yamahafjr 1300 on a 2001 and when i come to start it finger on the button and have really open the throttle up for it to start takes a while to kick in or it wont start at all then can come back a few hours later and it will start ?

It is likely an electrical problem. Corrosion at the battery terminal is common. The terminal/battery cable connection may look ok from the outside but white lead oxide may have formed between the cable and the battery. Disconnect the black (-) terminal first, then the red (+) terminal. Remove the battery from the bike and clean the terminals with steel wool, fine sand paper (emory cloth).
Check the water level in your battery and add distilled water to fill to the safe range (should have two hash-lines on side or front of battery near top to show you when level is right.
Reassemble.
It should start right up.

i would suggest the spark plug is either dirty or failing remove it and check the spark by placing the plug on the engine touching a metal part and stat the bike there should be a nie fat spark if there isnt replace the plug and give the carb a clean out it might not be the problem but it wont hurt to do some servicing
