Roland keyboard. Extremely static-y speakers. Cuts out
When I turn the keyboard on (using the built in spkrs) I get a lot of crackle/static in the speakers. As I move the volume control it gets worse. After about 50% volume, speakers cut out completely and I get no sound. If I run the keyboard through an external tuner/speakers can I bypass this problem, whatever it is? Are my speakers blown or something else? Is it repairable?

It sounds like your volume slider is dirty. Try carefully and judiciously spraying a good quality contact cleaner into the slider and working it. do not use a lot. It only takes a little. Also do not use WD40.
