Rome TW original release. Have had it playing on my Fujitsu Lifebook AH531 for 4 years now. 2 days ago it quit working
Recent inquiry with Geek Squad and they said unable to update or find fix for me. When I try to open it get User Account Control message "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" Whether I click "yes, or, no", the message goes away and the game does not open. I have un- and then, re- installed it. Same thing

I think I figured it out. The problem stems from the 09/09/2015 batch of Microsoft updates, specifically KB3086255. Uninstall this security update, and you should be able to run R:TW just like before. If it gives you the "Please login with administrator privileges and try again" error, right-click on the RomeTW.exe file, and select "Run as administrator." This should get you back in the game.
