Roomba Battery (existing and brand new one) Not holding a charge
Roomba Charging problem.
The status light on the Roomba is never lit. While charging with the docking station or connecting the charger directly to the roomba the status light never lights up. The only indicator that blinks red is the power button while on the cradle or plugged in directly.
The end result is no power to operate the roomba.
I even purchased a new battery and again no power to operate the roomba.
Ugh. Double Ugh.
Any ideas.

Try cleaning the terminals on the battery, the base and on the device with a pencil eraser. If no dice, may have a problem in the charging circuit.
What model do you own? I've seen other people reporting that Roomba 650 and 880 got the exact problems and people are having a hard time solving it.
It'll be beneficial if you contact directly the iRobot team. You can get the right answer only from them
The Charging circuit on the main board is dead. Either replace the main board or repair it if you have the skills and equipment.
