Rope snapped in my recoil starter
I have a Tecumseh LH318SA Snow Thrower. Went to start it and pulled the handle, heard a snap and the handle and rope came out. Is there any easy way to fix this? I have easy access and can remove the cover to the recoil starter but I have heard nightmare stories about springs popping out ect.
Any helpful hints?
Thanks,

Take off the and and turn the coiler on the inside a few turns and when it starts to get tight put a screwdrive through it so it wont spin, put the rope in the hole and bring it out and tie a knot. the turn it gently to release the screwdriver and let it coil the rope back in
