Roper by Whirlpool
Dryer was running then just stopped in middle of cycel. Braker not blown, Power cord not damaged, Lent vent clear, No sound of belt breaking, nothing smelled hot. How do I access the front? Do I really have to take the top off?

hey it's sal,do me a favor unplug the dryer,go in the back, pull off the two wires going to the thermal fuse and stick them together the white part to the right of the metal duct down low, start the dryer and see if it runs, the way you discribe how it just died sounds like the thermal fuse went.don't run it like that if it starts, shut it right down if it does run, thanks
i'm glad you got the dryer up and running,i have a 1997 ford van and i work with my brother and he has a ford van also and we put 80 to 100 miles on them i one day sometimes so yes i do do breaks to lol.i know you checked all the parts out but the way it died it still sounded like the fuse but you did it the right way with a meter and went through it like a pro,i used to do tile work and started working on appliances in 2008 with my brother who has been in the bussiness for over 30 years and if i can help someone out like you i don't mind at all, good luck and sorry to say GO PATS, just kiddin,if you need any other help let me know, nice talking with you
