Rotel Receiver RX-950 AX popped and then quit
It was playing a CD for about 60 secs, there was a pop, it quit playing, there was a little thread of smoke accompanied by the smell of burnt plastic and now it won't come on. Is there any future in my receiver? Bought it new about 17 years ago.

There would be life in the old girl it just depends how much you love her and how much you are willing to spend to get her fixed ?? some old rotels are still fetching good money so it might be worthwhile getting a quote
After 20 years my Rotel RX-950AX abruptly stopped producing any speaker output.
