Rowe Ami R-80 imperial jukebox
Hello i was wondering if anyone is familiar with the Rowe-Ami R-80 imperial jukebox? i recently purchased one off ebay thats in need of repair. when i got it home and looked in it, i found it to have some wires cut a lot of dirt and dust pretty much all over it. it also had a vacant mouse nest inside it. After giving it a good clean and reconnecting the wires using my manual, I managed to get the carousel, amp and arm working in service mode. The question i wanted to ask you is. Are parts of the selection unit, turntable ect and lighting wired together to run on the same voltage? I have briefly had the lighting working on an external plug added to the wiring but dont dare plug in the rest for fear of burning it out. could it be a problem with the jukeboxes power block (lower voltage) fitted inside?Any help related or none related would be much appreciated Thanks. Andy

Hello Andy,
Yes I know the 1976 Rowe Ami R-80 jukebox very well as well as most of the other Rowe Ami jukeboxes.
The turntable motor and the lighting work off of the 110 volt output from the power supply.
The other power voltages are connected to the power supply via the molex plug.
Pin 1 30VDC white/red
Pin 2 30VAC yellow/black
Pin 3 Common black
Pin 4 Ground gren/yellow
Pin 5 No connection
Pin 6 Common black
All the voltages are protected by circuit breakers.
I assume that you may be in the UK if this is the case here are my contact details.
