Royal Sovereign ARP-3012-S portable AC iwon't turn on and is displaying "E1" in the led screen. Touchpad and remote don't work. What does E1 mean? Possible home repair?
Heating & Cooling - Royal Sovereign - ARP-1000EX Portable Air Conditioner
Thanks. Opened up the "deconstructed" modified unit. Filter seemed clean but was re-cleaned. No water in the condensation bucket. But I thoroughly inspected everything and found a tiny corroded copper wire in the harness from the relocated touch-pad. Repaired that and everything works. I'm in Del Mar, CA about 100 yds from the sea. I was glad to see that the unit, which is modified with ducting and extra wire and is outside in the corner of a small lanai, wasn't significantly corroded in any other way. I was lucky to find the obscure open circuit; otherwise it would have meant "land fill".Thanks. Opened up the "deconstructed" modified unit. Filter seemed clean but was re-cleaned. Have you checked to make sure the bucket is not full
