RTH230B display just went blank won't come on even with new batteries. The fan comes on when put to the ON position. what to do.Please help if you can, 2 cold kids and a sick mom.. :)

Sounds like a fuse. You will need to look inside the heating unit on the circuit board for a glass fuse or an automotive style plastic fuse. Shut power off to heater prior to looking at the circuit board.
The fuse will be inside the heating unit itself. It will be very small (about 1" long). Probably near the air filter or blower.
