Running Windows XP Home, SP2, Thunderbird and the latest Firefox. Am getting the occasional error for True Vector Service when online and the application shuts down. I note that this is part of ZoneAlarm which is installed and recently updated, though these occurred prior to that. I note also that this is connected with vsmon.exe. This is installed - but on checking with a file checker, these files are stated as missing! I referred this to ZoneAlarm help, and was informed that these files were not core files. Prior to Thunderbird and Firefox I was running IE7 and Outlook Express, but the same problem was occurring then. Should I get back to ZoneAlarm again? Thanks!

You can clear the registery files associated with this ZoneAlarm but if you do so you may happen to loos eyour internet connectivity altogether. My thought is that ZA is not at all harmfull so you try to install it again and you may evade this error. Sometimes it may slow down your computer but it can be recoverd by restarting the application. Rate me if it is helpful!!
