Bought new in June 2012. First example leaked at the sight glss within weeks. Exchanged for second one which then failed electrically after 3 months. Exchanged again for another new one last week which now leaves an unpleasant plastc taste in hot beverages despite boiling at max level, decanting, rinsing and repeating for 10 times. How do we get rid of the plastic taste (like a polythene water pipe taste)? Has Russell Hobbs abandoned quality assurance re its Chinese manufacturers?
