Saeco vienna Deluxe grinder doesn't work properly
Each time I put the machine on is starts to turn but not how it normally does and the red light turns on. Can the grinder be blocked If you start the machine, is the part of the grinder who sits by the beans (where they fall into the mill)also turning?
Thanks for your reactions

Hi,
Try to open the steam knob and make a cup of water.
Make sure everything is in place.
One more thing you can try is:
open the door, take out the brewing unit, driptray and dregsbox.
Look in the machine and you will see three hole, one in the lower left corner, one in the middle above the driving shaft and one in the right upper corner.
Turn on the machine and put a screwdriver in each hole and see if the lights go off.
Hope this will help you.

Hi Marc,
I don´t own that model but i repair all of the Saeco models at a Saeco Service Center in Sweden for 5 year now.
When you turn on your machine then it should do the self test but not run the grinder.
If you hear a "cracking" sound when it do the self test then i think the gears to the brewing unit has to be replaced.
